Course content
Our Food Safety / Food Hygiene Level 2 course is used in seven simple modules that cover all aspects of food safety and hygiene.
Introduction to Food Safety – This first section of the introduction will explain why food safety is so important and the risks associated with abnormal food safety and hygiene standards. You will learn about the legal requirements for food handlers, and the consequences of violating food safety legislation.
Personal Hygiene – In this section we learn about the importance of personal hygiene. We examine what food managers pose the greatest risk to the food business and how they make sure that it does not contaminate food with pathogenic bacteria or external physical risks.
Microbiological food poisoning and their control. You will learn about the different types of eating disorders and how to avoid them. You will have a complete understanding of germs, how pollutants can spread and various activities that you can use to prevent the proliferation of potentially harmful bacteria in your work.
Other food safety risks and their control. In this lesson, we explore how to protect consumers against food allergies, allergies and dietary supplements. We also cover chemical and physical contamination and how to prevent it from happening.
Food Handling, Storage and Preparation – Here we learn how to manage food properly, from taking it to customer service. How to properly store food to avoid cracks and dirt. Learn how to prepare safely and importantly for temperature control.
Keeping Your Workplace Clean and Healthy – In this section we learn why it is important to clean properly and how to clean properly. We also review different cleaning methods and gain an understanding of the various chemicals used in the cleaning process.
Food Stores and Pest Control Finally, we will explore how fine-grained food processing can reduce the risk of food contamination. We also gain insight into the various dangers associated with common pests and how to control them.
