10 Best Gaming Laptops of 2021

In this article you will find our selection of the best gaming laptops of 2021 chosen from the most powerful and innovative models available on the market, created to satisfy even the most demanding gamers.

Generally gaming laptops are extreme in weight, size and consumption, but in our ranking we have also included more versatile models that are better suited to a mixed use game / study / work.

If, on the other hand, you are looking for a laptop to play but don’t want to give up the compactness factor, we recommend that you take a look at our guide dedicated to the best compact gaming laptops.

In the list you will find models that have the latest generation motherboards and SSDs. Inside you can find Intel Comet Lake refresh CPUs or, if you prefer AMD, the powerful Ryzen 5000 that cover the high-end market of the best laptops with AMD Ryzen .

The GPUs, in the low-end models, largely belong to the GeForce GTX 1000 series, while in the high one we find the more powerful GeForce RTX 2000 GPUs and the new RTX 3000, which will soon permanently retire both previous series.

Older AMD laptops are equipped with the RX 5000 GPUs, while some high-end models released in 2021 can count on the new RX 6000.

Thanks to their excellent hardware, high-end gaming laptops can effortlessly handle better PC games even at high frame rates, much like a good desktop PC can.

Today it is no longer necessary to opt for a gaming PC to obtain valid performance, as some of the best laptops in our ranking can easily replace them, also offering a good mix of components, appearance and size.

Among the models present in the ranking, some are characterized by a purely “game” design, while other models, although very powerful, retain a sober appearance that makes them excellent also for the workplace or for mixed use.

The Black Friday 2021 discounts will begin shortly, so if you are intending to buy a new laptop we advise you to wait a few weeks to take advantage of the offers at the end of November.

If you can’t wait and don’t necessarily want the latest model released on the market, but prefer to save some money and still take home a good laptop, we recommend to pick up the old gaming laptop model.

8. Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 G733QS

The Strix Scar 17 G733QS is one of the first gaming notebooks to feature a combination of AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and GeForce RTX 3080 GPU and is a real beast. It is definitely and by far the most powerful model you can find on sale right now. Do you think it is expensive? It is, but it’s also pretty affordable, relatively speaking.

It has so much of the latest technology on board that it’s almost an obvious choice for us if you want to play to your full potential. There are other similarly priced models that don’t even come close in performance and functionality, so having the budget it’s hard to say no to this offer.

The design is enriched with RGB LED lights and too flashy, this will appeal to some, while others will certainly turn up their noses. For us it is nice, but we are aware that there are a myriad of less flashy models on the market: we leave the final word to you in this regard.

We are only sorry that it does not offer an optional 4K panel. Even if it is not necessary for gamers, someone may decide to buy it as a “cool” work laptop. On the other hand, the 300 Hz of its Full HD panel will favor the most avid gamers.
