Yaoyao was the first non-Sumeru Dendro character to be introduced in Genshin Impact, and she has a lot to offer.
When it comes to four-star characters, the people who make Genshin Impact usually limit how they play so that they are only good in certain conditions. But this isn’t fully true for Yaoyao. Her skills are unique, and they can make a big difference in how well your team works.
Yaoyao is a four-star character with a Dendro vision and a Polearm. She grew up with the Adepti of Liyue, and she also got some of their skills. Using the Elemental Burst, which is a big part of how much damage she does, she can get into an unbeatable Adeptal Legacy state.
Yaoyao Has Amazing Dendro Application
The most important thing to remember about Yaoyao’s kit is that she has a great Dendro application. In the world of Teyvat, there are seven elements. Each character, except for the Traveller, can use one of these elements based on how they see the world.
When different things come together, they can cause a certain response. With the Version 3.0 update, the Dendro responses were added to Genshin Impact game, along with the element itself. They can be hard to understand. But the Dendro app from Yaoyao can be a great way to make these things happen.
The Elemental Skill of Yaoyao brings Yuegui onto the pitch. This little rabbit keeps throwing explosive radishes at enemies. When they burst, the radishes spread Dendro over a small area. If you use her with a crowd-controller like Venti or Sucrose who can group enemies, it’s easy to use Dendro on all of them.
But you can’t put Dendro into Yaoyao’s normal, charged, or plunging moves.If you don’t use her Elemental Burst, she’s mostly just a way to use Dendro from outside the field.
Her Constellations Change A Lot
Almost every character in Genshin Impact has six stars, but Aloy is an exception. When you get a second copy of a figure after getting the first one, you can unlock these constellations. Each character’s third and fifth constellations are the same, and they both raise the level of their Elemental Skill and Burst.
In Genshin Impact, there are a few ways to get copies of characters, and it’s even easier if the character is a four-star:
- If the character is on a banner with two other four-star characters, you can try to call them. Every ten pulls, you’re sure to get a four-star, and if you’re lucky, it’s easy to get Yaoyao stars.
- When you wish on any of the flags in the game, you might also get a four-star character.When their first banner is over, these characters are added to the general group.
- Lastly, events like the Lantern Rite that only happen for Liyue can also give you a free copy of the character.
The great thing about Yaoyao’s signs is that they change a lot for her. The first constellation gives her a new way to play, the second one fixes her problems with Energy, and the fourth one gives her free Elemental Mastery, which can make her responses better. Overall, if you can, you should try to get the first four of her stars.
Her Play Style Is Flexible
When you use the right artefacts and weapons on Yaoyao, she can be surprisingly agile. Here are all the different ways you can play when Yaoyao is in your party:
- Her Elemental Skill and Burst both help heal your team in some way. For the Elemental Skill, you can just leave Yuegui on the field, and the main character will be healed based on how much HP she has. You can use this style of play on her if you’re having trouble staying alive in fight and don’t have a shielder.
- As was said above, Yaoyao has a great Dendro app that helps her do well in teams that are based on reactions. If you want to play this way, you’ll need a lot of Elemental Mastery.
- Lastly, her first constellation gives the character who is in the area of effect of the radish when it bursts a Dendro DMG Bonus. You can use Yaoyao as a Dendro buffer with DPS characters like Alhaitham or Tighnari if you have this combination.
If you want to use her as a Dendro buffer, you only need the first star. If you want to put her on a reaction-based team, you also need a few other things. To get the most out of Elemental Mastery, you should first have the Gilded Dreams artefact set and the Dragon’s Bane weapon.
Aside from that, she needs to meet the following standards for different reaction-based teams:

This team needs at least one figure with the elements Electro, Dendro, and Hydro, unless the enemy already has one of them. Also, the Electro character needs damage that affects multiple targets at once, like Yae Miko or Kuki Shinobu. |
You can also try to make a team for Burning or Burgeon, but these are not the best responses in Spacebar Clicker game. Burning can do ongoing Pyro damage, but it isn’t that much, and Burgeon does a lot of damage to your character as well.
Don’t Waste Your Elemental Burst
Yaoyao has a special move called “Elemental Burst,” but if you don’t pay attention to i. You can easily waste it. You don’t have to be on the pitch for her Elemental Skill to work. But you do have to be there for a long time for the Elemental Burst. When you use the Burst, three Yuegui will appear on the field. Depending on how you scale your Elemental Burst, they will deal damage and heal characters.
After Yaoyao unlocks the passive Starscatter, he will also throw radishes at enemies while running, sprinting, or hopping during the Elemental Burst. These radishes can also hurt enemies and heal everyone in the party who is close to them.
The problem is that if you move to a different character during this time, all three Yuegui will disappear. Her Burst lasts for five seconds, so you have to be careful about when to use it. If you don’t want to lose any value, you can’t switch to a different character during these five seconds. You might not even use Yaoyao’s Burst as often because of this.
But if you use her as a reaction carry, you can use it as much as you want. This means that characters with other elements will deal damage from off-field. While Yaoyao’s Burst constantly does a lot of Dendro damage.
Her Healing Is Not The Best
Yuegui is supposed to heal your character every so often, since it can do so every second. The healing from this ability isn’t the best, though, because it has low growth. For example, Yaoyao’s skill heals your current character for 3.26 percent of Max HP plus 392 at talent level 11.
On the other hand, characters like Kuki Shinobu or Bennett. Who can also heal the main character, scale much higher (up to 12 percent of max HP). Even though her Elemental Burst makes up for this healing. You shouldn’t use that power to heal most of the time.
If your healer has to be on the field to heal the other players. A, a lot of DPS is wasted.But if you’re using her as a reaction carry, this can work.
Basically, there are better choices if you want a character to heal your other characters and don’t need the Dendro part.
