Know ants, it’s colony and queen

The first thing you must know about ants is their colony and queen, which will help you to get rid of ants completely. Every time you see ants entering your home they look for food, and also you will see them carry those crumbs along with them, but where they take back the food? Well, the ants are working for the queen and younger ants living in the nest, so the take the food back to the nest for their queen and young ants.

The queen stays in the nest only and lays all the eggs. She never leave the nest and fed by the workers which helps in reproducing more eggs. So, even if you spray pesticides at your home, you will only kill the workers, and not the queen who will produce more and more ants.

Watch the trailing ants

Have you ever imagined why the ants march in a row? Well that’s because the messenger ant who have found the food, leaves trail for other ants to follow. The other workers follow that trail to reach to the food they will return back to their nest with the food. Check their activity of where they are coming from and where they are going.

Don’t spray the ants

Killing the worker ants will not help you in removing them completely, because the other workers will come to your house. So, try to find the queen and destroy their nest completely.

Set out ant bait

To kill the queen and destroy their nest, you will have to set out a bait. Instead of killing those trailing ants, take the advantage of them. Give the ant poison which they will carry to their nest back, which will then kill the queen and other ants in the nest as well.

Shoot the messenger

If you have just saw an ant in your kitchen this would probably the messenger who will leave the trail for the other ants. So, kill the messenger ant before the other ants will be able to find it following the trail.
