Whole Bollywood is mourning his demise, he was none other than Om puri, a versatile actor whose death was first confirmed by film maker Ashok Pandit-“Sad and shocked to know that versatile actor Om Puri jee has expired due to heart attack early morning today. #RIP”
Om Puri was an Padam shri awardee, studied at national school of drama and another fine actor Naseerudin Shah was his classmate. He started his career in films in 1976 with the film “Ghashiram Kotwal”.
His role in ” The Hundred Foot journey” opposite Helen Mirren was very much adored by the viewers of the movie. The Hundred Foot Journey in 2014 was Steven Spielberg’s movie which is an example of fine acting of Om Puri.
OM Puri has given many hit films and his versatile acting career inspired millions of young actors in Bollywood.
