The cheapest country in the world to sell uesed cars for sale

On the market, a brand new, no frills, less than $4000 car? No problem – at least if you live in China. China has the cheapest car in the world, the most basic Jiangnan Zhongyin, with a 0.8-liter three cylinder engine, which costs only $3785.32 (about 25800 yuan).

If China is a little far away from where you plan to buy a car, don’t worry. There are plenty of cheap cars to choose from all over the world, especially in developing countries. These cars are not particularly gorgeous, but they should be convenient for people to travel from a to B. How do we know? It turns out that we’ve seen a lot of these cars before.

Jiangnan Zhongyin is similar to the cheapest cars in other parts of the world, including India (Maruti 800) and Chile (Suzuki Maruti). All of these cars “are essentially a Suzuki Alto from the 1980s,” says David digirolamo. He is the head of JATO consulting for UK based research and analysis firm JATO dynamics, which provides extensive data on the global automotive market.

Digirolamo explained: “the car recovered its design and development costs many years ago, making it less expensive to sell than recently developed cars.” “It usually takes several years of sales revenue to repay the development cost of a new car.”

Of course, not all the cheapest cars in the world are Suzuki Altos, but most of the cheapest cars in the world are in developing countries or countries with weak economies in their respective regions. In Asia, the cheapest cars are in China; in North America, they are in Mexico; in South America, the cheapest cars are in Chile; between Australia and New Zealand, the cheapest cars are in New Zealand; in Europe, the cheapest cars are in Russia.

To develop our list of cheapest cars, we divided the world into these five regions and used new car prices provided by JATO, which tracks car data in 43 different countries.

Just because a car is cheap doesn’t mean it’s bad, because there are many factors that can drive down the price of a car. In nearly 50% of the regions with cheap cars, cars are produced in the same market, which reduces transportation costs and eliminates import tariffs.

That’s what happened in China, Russia and India, says digirolamo of JATO. In addition, many of the cars on the list use smaller three cylinder engines, which are usually cheaper to produce because of fewer parts and raw materials.

Competition for uesed cars for sale has also declined.

“In the developing market, the supply of second-hand cars is much lower, which creates market opportunities for new low-cost cars,” said digirolamo “The United States has a ready supply of cheap cars, but they are used cars, not small, low powered and poorly equipped new cars.”

Digirolamo said that with sufficient supply, buyers in Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the United States with $5000 to $10000 on hand can relatively easily buy uesed cars for sale, but not in developing markets such as China.

“Five years ago, the market was much smaller than it is today, but there are still buyers with $5000 to $10000,” he says “This demand is being met by new small cars with smaller engines and limited equipment because there are no other options.”

“Cheap” is relative

It’s hard to find a new car that costs less than $10000 in markets where uesed cars for sale are strong, such as the United States and New Zealand. That’s why Australia / New Zealand is the region with the highest price of cheap cars, while in New Zealand, the price is even higher because cars are not made there. They brought it here.

But in North America, Rio and Aveo are not the cheapest.
