The synthetic fabrics vs natural fabric

The fiber can be distinguished as natural and synthetic fiber. The natural fiber is fabricated from natural resources. The natural input for the fiber is either plants or animals. The synthetic fibers are assembled and constructed in the laboratory with different chemicals.

Both fabrics are indispensable and vital for various purposes.

The illustrations of the natural fabrics are cotton, silk, bamboo, cashmere, and wool. Different synthetic fabrics are nylon, polyester, acrylic, these fibers are man-made.

Both the fibers have their pros and cons. The natural fabrics are comfortable and breathable. They are antifungal and avert from radiation and heat.  On the other hand, synthetic fibers are strong and easily dryable. They are easy to iron as compared to natural fiber.

The synthetic fiber:

Synthetic fiber is man-made and most of them is produced from petroleum products called petrochemicals. Most of the synthetic fibers are constructed from a single repeating unit called monomers. The monomer includes nylon, acrylics, polyethylene, and polypropylene. They can be produced in huge quantities regarding demand as their production is fast. They are not biodegradable, we can say they are not environment friendly. They can easily catch the fire.

Here we are discussing some of the advantages of synthetic fiber.

Durable:

The synthetic fiber is durable and long-lasting. They are strong and sturdy. They are not easily wrinkled and are wrinkle-free. Sweating and perspiration can cause wear and tear of the clothes, but synthetic fiber is an anti-absorbent of moisture.

Inexpensive:

Natural fibers are quite expensive as compared to synthetic fibers. They provide a good substitute to the natural fiber as most of the synthetic fiber is intimating substitute to natural fiber like wool and silk.

Stainfree:

Synthetic fibers are stain-free, they are designed in a way to resist stains. Some are specially crafted to remain stain-free. So the synthetic fiber can be a good alternative for daily use.

Easily dyeable:

Synthetic fiber is easily dyeable, as they are a chemical product. They easily react with the chemical of the dye and textile engineers gather the required shade of color.

Waterproof:

Synthetic fiber is waterproof, so it is used to make rain jackets and rain gears. Parachute is made from synthetic fibers as it is waterproof and not easily punctured by gusting winds.

The natural fiber:

The natural fiber is breathable, absorbable, and antiallergenic. Different products like underwear and t-shirts are produced from natural fiber. Bamboo boxers underwear is produced from bamboo cellulose. The naturally produced bamboo fabrics have channels of cellulose. That’s why they are airy and comfortable. They are more suited for the metabolism of the human body.

There are some features of natural fibers.

Pleasant to wear:

Natural fabrics, like cotton, bamboo are comfortable to wear. The silk is antiallergic due to the presence of the protein. The chemical dyes used in these fibers are minimum so they are pleasant to wear.

Heat resistant:

The natural fabrics are best in hot weather conditions. Cotton dresses are best suited as it saves us from the sun radiation. On the other hand, wool protects us from the winter temperatures. In cold climatic conditions, wool jackets are best.

Environment friendly:

They are environmentally friendly and easy biodegradable due to their natural ingredients. No chemicals are used in the production of the fiber, so they are more eco-friendly.

Chemical dyes:

Linen protects a person from chemical exposure and decreases your exposure up to 50 % to the sun’s gamma radiation. They are best suited to the natural climate. Powerful dyes are not used in the fabrication of natural fabrics. So no fear of chemical reaction between minerals of sweats and the dyes. So there is no danger of chemical reaction of the dyes during sweating.

Flexibility:

They are flexible and easy to wear due to their cellulose structure. They are naturally suited to our body and do not produce itching on our skin. They are flawless and comfortable to wear.
