- Open Outlook on your device to begin with.
- After you open Outlook, find your way to the file tab which is on the top left corner of your
screen, click on it to open the file tab options. - Next, search the file tab to find and click on the info button from the File tab. Find the account
settings option from there and then further expand the same option on your screen. - A new tab will open up. Click on the “new” option to visit the “add new email account” option.
- In the next window, you will have to choose the “Manual setup or additional server types”
dialogue box to proceed further. - On the next page, click on the internet email as the service page type.
- Next, a new window will appear where you will have to find and click on the user information
button and enter the necessary user data that is mentioned on the screen. - Now choose the type of account that you need and proceed.
- Next, you will need to enter the necessary server details for the type of account and the logon
information field. - After you have entered the details, you will need to fill in the advanced settings correctly. After
that enter the server settings for the account type and check the details twice. - Next, click on the test my account settings. If all turns out fine, then you have configured the
Gmail SMTP settings correctly.
