Where Does This Initiative To Celebrate Fashion

A whole series of shops, restaurants, and hotels in the Salamanca and Las Salesas-Fuencarral neighborhoods came together to celebrate and toast with fashion, with lots of gifts and special events.

Where does this initiative to celebrate fashion come from?

The first Fashion Night, sponsored by Vogue magazine and by the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), takes place in New York in 2009. Its purpose is to encourage consumers to purchase fashion-related items, sector that like many others, has suffered from the economic crisis that we are experiencing in recent years.

The event was so successful that it began to be exported to other countries and cities, becoming a global initiative around the fashion industry.

In tribute to this year’s edition, Vogue Spain together with the designer Juan Vidal, winner of the “Who’s On Next 2013”   award, have created this iconic white t-shirt that could be purchased with the magazine, last July.
