Tips to Pack and Move a TV

During a household move, people worry about their goods, especially the expensive ones. Today most people have a flat LED TV, which is difficult to move because of its fragility. TV is one of your expensive household goods that’s it is important to pack the TV with utmost care during a household move, even a single mistake can break your valuable and can cost you a lot.

Well, you must know that TV is extremely fragile because it has face of glass. If you are thinking you are having flat and thin TV and you can easily move it then you are mistaking, such TVs require even more care while packing and moving. Take the Picture: Before unplugging it and taking out the cables, take a few picture of your TV in its original condition. This way you can easily figure out the right place of the each cord or cable.

Label the Wires:The best way of figuring out the right wires to mark it with a colored pen or maker pen or, you can also use a colored tape to mark the cable.

Pack in An Appropriate Box:  If you have the original box of your television with protective covering and foam then you may don’t need to worry for packing it. Simply put it in the box and keep it in the upright position while moving it.  If you don’t have the original box you should buy it from moving companies, online supplier etc.  Try to find the right size box for packing it.

Cover the TV:  TV is an extremely fragile item that needs extra care when you don’t have the original box with protective covering and foams then you can use your small blankets and towels.

Label the Box:Now the last part of packing your TV is to mark it with a marker pen. Write ‘Fragile’ or ‘Handle with Care’ on each side of the box. Make sure the box is sealed properly.
