What You Should Eat If You Are Suffering From PCOS

One woman in every ten women is suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or popularly known as PCOS. During their childbearing age, most of them start to have small bristles in their ovary. If not treated in time, it can lead to some other serious health issues like diabetes, depression, cardiovascular disease, and increase the risk of endometrial cancer. Doctors suggest that following a healthy lifestyle can reduce PCOS. You have to avoid junk foods and have some Snacks Saludables when you feel hungry in between the meals.

Here are some diet suggestions that will help you to manage the weight and the PCOS as well.

Foods that you should eat: 

There are many foods that help to manage the symptoms of the disease.

  • Low Glycemic Index Diet: The foods that are low in GI needs more time to digest. As a result, the insulin level will not rise quickly like any other foods like carbohydrates. You have to select foods like whole grain, nuts, fruits, seeds, legumes, starchy vegetables, and low carbohydrate and unprocessed foods.   • Unprocessed and natural foods
  • Foods rich in fiber
  • Salmon, tuna, sardines, mackerel, and all the fatty fishes
  • Dark leafy vegetables like kale and spinach
  • Fruits that are rich in colors like red grapes, blackberry, blueberry, and cherry
  • Broccoli and cauliflower
  • Legumes, lentils, and dried beans
  • Healthy fats like olive oil and coconut oil
  • Different types of nuts like walnut, almond, pistachio
  • Spices like turmeric and cardamom
  • Dark chocolate
