Functions of Seamless Pipes and Tubes

A seamless pipe is a steel pipe that has no welding or joints. Such a pipe is manufactured from solid round billets and is subjected to dimensional and wall thickness specifications that range from 0.125 inches to 26 inches.

The seamless pipes and tubes serve a purpose in hydrocarbon industries, oil and gas transportation, oil and gas exploration and drilling, hydraulic cylinders, boilers, and automobiles, among others.

  • Seamless steel pipes produced these days are far superior to ones produced in the past since the advanced technology available today meets higher quality standards.

Seamless pipes are used in a variety of situations. They are used for the manufacture of boiling water pipes, superheated steam pipes, small and large smoke pipes, and arched brick pipes, air ducts, etc.
